We were driving from Detroit to Indiana to go to my father's funeral when the check engine light came on in our Odyssey. We were at they Bowling Green exit and stopped here. The van needed immediate service. Jeff Drew stepped in, made us priority, and had us back on the road in two hours. And on top of that, their systems were down and they couldn't take payment. So he let us go without even a credit card trusting us to pay when their systems were back up (which we did). A great experience came out of a bad day.

Looked up used cars on line and sent an inquiry as to the availability of the vehicle. I received a call from Ron very shortly after to answer my questions about the vehicle. The vehicle was available and we decided to take a look at it. The vehicle was in great condition and exactly as described on the website. The sales associate, Ron, was just wonderful. If you have small children and worry about how they will act but do not have a babysitter, I hope my review puts you at ease. Ron directed us to a location in the dealership that had toys, a tv, and anything else small children would like to use to keep themselves busy. When they no longer wanted to play and Ron was going over paperwork with us, Rons understanding and kindness while they wanted to be adventurous toddlers, really put our minds at ease. Great experience and would certainly recommend.

We were on our way to Michigan yesterday when we had a TRANS TEMP warning light come on. We pulled into THAYER and Josh and his tech got us in right away, gave us a car to use to grab lunch, diagnosed and fixed the problem even though they didn’t know if they could get it done before they closed. The got it done and were unbelievably friendly through out the process. They never appeared annoyed that we might make their day longer. Sales staff was also extremely nice. Steve Knape was a great help. I had never bought a vehicle at a dealership before, always private sales, so I was a bit nervous. He was very reassuring and readily answered all of my questions. I gave the car they brought out a test drive, and was satisfied. However, with dealership and other associated fees on top, I could not afford the car as is, at least responsibly. I informed Ron of this, and asked for $500 off. This offer was initially refused, but after setting off to visit another dealership, they called me back to off the discount after all. I'm not under the impression this was done out of goodwill, and the car was still priced above the average listing price for this model and year, but it did have the extensive service done on it you'd look for in such a higher price. All in all, I'd call it a very positive experience. I'll update this review if the car has serious issues within the next six months, but if this review goes un-updated, you can assume that it has remained a good experience. My salesperson was very professional, and I was pleased with the overall service. I purchased the car outright with cash, and drove off the lot that day in it.
It’s been couple years since we bought our CRV here but assuming nothing has changed I would highly recommend Thayer Honda. We were treated fairly by Josh B and not pressured in any way. There were no strange fees or dealer markups during the purchase process. I would absolutely come back if I was in the market for another Honda.

I brought in my 2008 Honda Civic to have a new passenger side mirror installed, after a snow plow hit my car a little while back. Not only did they complete the job in the less then an hour but knocked $20 off the price of the install, as it didn't take a full hour. A different Honda Deal wanted 3x as much money to do the same job. Don't waste your time with the others, for your Honda Needs go to Thayer.
Following a recent accident, we were forced to replace our beloved Forrester, and decided to look for something a little roomier. Josh Baranski helped us select a Honda Pilot, which has so far been just *perfect* for us! He provided us with a list of all the work they had done to ensure the vehicle was in tip-top condition, and even took care of a few sort of trivial things we wanted, so we were able to make our purchase with confidence. He sent us to Robyn Thayer for financing, and she was super helpful, too! It had been a rather long day, and I was pretty exhausted, so I appreciated how easy-peasy she made the process. We had purchased my husband's truck from one of the Thayers, and though we had shopped around quite a bit before we settled on this Pilot, I think it's safe to say we're likely customers for life now!

I had a terrific experience with the parts and service team! Eric is a competent parts man and very professional. I could tell that he takes notes when he talks to customers. When he didn't have a camshaft seal in stock, he offered to find an alternate part by dimension. The original part was available next day, but he was willing to get me what I needed same day by going above and beyond. Not many parts guys will do this anymore, actually thinking beyond the computer.
I would highly recommended Thayer Honda to anyone looking for a vehicle. I had an excellent experience with the sales team and the service department is impeccable.

I cannot say enough about the staff that works for Thayer Honda! From the service department, parts or sales, I have never felt so respected and informed. As a woman, I have had many negative experiences with gentleman in the automotive places either talking down to me, laughing at questions I had or telling me a million things were wrong with my car that weren't. I very much regret that I ever went to another area Honda dealer! I had one of them, for example, tell me that my warranty on my dead battery ran out three days previous, in which I called Honda direct and found out I still in fact had 2 more months on it. Even Honda direct recommended Thayer to help me instead, which obviously became an incredible blessing! My husband used to get so frustrated when I would take my car in to other dealers here as they always seemed to try and talk me into a major repair that I never needed. Our favorite was a Catalytic converter replacement recommendation on my 3 year old Civic! I had that car many many years after that recommendation and never ever had an issue. My husband was furious that they tried to take advantage of me like that. Not once have I had anything crazy like that from Thayer. A matter of fact, they seem to always help in any way they can to prevent problems or help me understand why something would need to be done. This past week I have spoken many times to the gentleman in parts and service and they have been beyond wonderful to deal with.
The service department is top shelf. I drive from Michigan because they're honest and professional.

Being a relatively new service tech myself and having seen some of the questionable practices at other repair shops, I've always been very careful about who services my car (often choosing to do so myself). I found myself without a trustworthy tech after everything that's happened recently, and I came to Thayer Honda on the recommendation of a friend who has his supercar serviced there. I was impressed to say the least. My car is my world and I was anxious to leave her there, but the tech made sure to take proper care, and even brought a few things to my attention that I was unaware of so that I can fix them. In the future, they can expect more visits from me, and I would be comfortable knowing my car is in good hands there!

I came to this dealer both because they had the precise used car I was interested in, and their reviews on various social media sites were all positive. The car business is a rough and tumble world and it is rare to find a dealership that gets largely positive reviews. I am now going to add to their positive tally. Upon my first call I spoke with a Mr. Tim Hernandez. He was courteous and willing to answer all of my questions. I am a car guy and have little patience for your " typical " car salesmen. Lucky for all Tim was not " typical ". He shared with me that the particular car I was shopping was likely the cleanest car in his inventory. The CarFax was very detailed and offered on the Thayer Honda site for all to see. Fast forward past the many phone calls to Tim asking additional questions to the point where we committed to driving the two hours from our home in Michigan to Bowling Green, Ohio. We finally arrive and the car is precisely as told to me over the phone. For a car from 2005 it was very clean. I have detailed dozens of cars myself and I know their detail guy did a very good job. Still, this car went past a car that spent a day in the spa. This car was well looked after by the previous owners. My wife drives the car and likes it. We agree to buy it. We did the paperwork with very little fuss and head back to Michigan. Two days later I drive the car for the 1st time and immediately observe the clutch action is just not right. I have literally owned hundreds of cars...dozens of them with manual transmissions ( we wanted this CRV specifically because it was a manual transmission ) and there was something quite wonky with the pedal pressure and the noise it was making. I research the issue online and discover this is a common problem with this generation of both the Civic and the CRV ( built on the same chassis ) and I find out their was a service bulletin issued for this very issue. I figure I am on the hook for the repair bill which would likely be about $500 dollars for the 90 minutes to fix it plus parts. I was kicking myself for not driving it myself prior to having my wife drive it home. Three days later Tim Hernandez writes to me to see if I am enjoying the car. I write back that I am " mostly " and then describe the issue with the clutch pedal. You might want to sit down for this next part of the story. Tim Hernandez writes back to me and invites me to come back to Thayer Honda and the dealership will gladly repair the problem as per the Honda service advisory. Do you understand the significance of this gesture? The car was bought AS-IS. No warranty was offered or suggested. AS-IS as in...you are out of luck. NOPE....Thayer Honda invites me back so they can make it right. Super impressed barely covers it. This speaks volumes about both the integrity of Tim Hernandez, and also of the management and ownership at Thayer Honda. I cannot recall in my 45 years of buying cars for friends and family EVER having a dealer offer to do a repair on a used car after you drive it off the lot. Yes they saved me the grief and expense of a few hundred dollars...but more importantly they helped restore a bit of my faith in the automobile business. Thank you Thayer Honda for doing what you did.

I'm new to the area and needed a new place to service my 2012 Civic. I'm so glad I chose Thayer Honda instead of an instant oil change place! I scheduled a same day appointment online and was in and out in a half hour. They showed me my air filter, made sure I got to use a coupon that I didn't even bring, and were very thorough in explaining what maintenance was needed and what could be done later. I've felt pressured before for services that I didn't think my car needed and my experience here was a pleasure!

We drove over a hundred miles to buy a 2015 fit from Josh, who treated us like family. Josh did an excellent job of explaining all of the car's features. He took his time and answered all of our questions clearly and patiently. I must admit that it was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. I would do it all again in a heartbeat. The people at Thayer are a class act and I am grateful to them for making my daughter's first car buying experience happy and memorable.
Very impressed with our buying experience at Thayer Honda! Our car buying process was lengthy as we drove about a dozen SUVs over the course of 2 full days. We actually almost purchased a Lincoln Nautilus from a completely different dealership but walked out during the negotiation process as it was frustrating and insulting to our time. It was a night & day difference between there and Thayer. We arrived at about 5 and were leaving with our new vehicle by 6:15. Justus, the finance manager, was great and transparent. Our salesman was Ned and he was also very helpful in getting our Pilot ready to drive. I so appreciate when a dealership moves through the process quickly so we aren’t stuck for hours. Really happy with our decision to move forward with our purchase here!
